Hearing Aid Company Utilizes Nanotechnology to Protect Aids from Moisture

Tulsa-based Clear-tone uses their own nanocoating applied to the surface hearing aids

The MPS ™ technology developed by the company uses a plasma method to attach the nano-polymer layer to the entire product. Clear-tone's MPS ™ nanotechnology does not affect the acoustics or weight of the aid. When the hearing aids are coated with the MPS ™ technology, the moisture from sweating or the elements beads up and rolls off the device. By preventing moisture from entering the hearing aid, Clear-tone notes that users of aids will no longer experience malfunctions of their aid due to moisture.
