The London Centre for Nanotechnology Enters Into Collaborative Agreement with China in Nanospintronics
Aug 26, 2009
The projects will focus on developing novel approaches to the miniaturization of computer systems.
The London Centre for Nanotechnology is a joint venture between the University College London and Imperial College London. The partnership will focus on nanospintronics research with scientific teams from China’s Peking University and Tsinghua University. The projects include ‘silicon-based spintronics’ and ‘molecular nanospintronics.’ This latest research announcement is part of a larger call from the UK’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Natural Science Foundation of China, in which both groups called for increased collaboration in nanospintronics.
