Swedish Researchers Create World's First Magnetic Cellulose Loudspeakers
The loudspeakers were created using nanomaterials derived from wood pulp-magnetic cellulose gel-at Stockholm's KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
The novel loudspeakers do not need heavy permanent magnets. The novel magnetic cellulose gel could be used for acoustic applications for cars, or for next generation noise canceling technology. The driver behind creating the loudspeakers is to show the potential and effectiveness of natural and environmentally-sustainable materials in products we use on a daily basis.
