Instability of steady-state conduction of a fluid in an annulus between two concentric circular cylinders subjected to charge injection either from the inner or outer and from both cylinder electrodes is considered. The results given by numerical simulations for the charge transport and the flud flow are in good agreement with the linear stability analysis for the state very close to the onset of electro-convection. Regular array of vortices as well as the chaotic motions beyond the onset is presented in this paper. We also report the numerical visualization of travelling vortices in the azimuthal direction.
