Johnson & Johnson opened the Tokyo Science Center to introduce advanced skills and techniques of Japanese healthcare professionals to the world. The Center will serve as one of the R&D and training centers operated by J&J around the world.
In recent years, the Japanese Government has been promoting the Life Innovation Strategy with goals of realizing a society with a long healthy life span and contributing to economic growth by strengthening the international competitiveness through development of innovative drugs and medical devices. High quality medical devices and medical technology offered by J&J in Japan, which is a medically advanced nation as well as the world’s fastest aging society, will inevitably contribute to the advancement of medical technology at home and abroad.
Equipped with cutting-edge medical facilities including a device for minimally invasive surgical simulation and a cardiovascular/musculoskeletal treatment simulator as well as a video conference system, the Tokyo Science Center is a research and training center for healthcare professionals. Approximately over 10,000 domestic and overseas healthcare professional are expected to visit the Center annually to learn subtle techniques of Japanese healthcare professionals and advanced medical technology.
