Enabling massive printed electronics: inkjet printing on low-cost substrates

In this work results on inkjet printing of flexible industrial keyboards is presented. Several silver inks were tested on untreated PET flexible sheets, designed for silk-screen process. Special care has been taken on curing and sintering process, to minimize mechanical stress induced by temperature. Laser sintering has been compared to conventional curing (forced convection oven). Insulating layers were inkjet printed and cured, thus demonstrating a fully-digital printed keyboard can be achieved.
