Nanosizing of poorly-water-soluble compounds using rotation/revolution mixer

It is reported that the down sizing of poorly-water-soluble drug is effective in the improvement of the solubility and the absorption of drug. There are various methods for producing nanosized particles of drug. This study reports the wet milling by the rotation/revolution mixer with zirconia balls. This method could quickly pulverize the poorly-water-soluble drugs and the nanosized particles of drugs were obtained. The particle size and crystallinity of drug were evaluated with SEM, PSD, XRD and DSC.
