D. Solomon
Agilent, US

measurement in nanotechnology, bio-analytical and electronic measurement

Measurement is at the heart of many of the most exciting and challenging problems in technology today.  New measurement tools and technologies are becoming increasingly important as nanotechnology opens entirely new approaches for research, product development and manufacturing.  Nanotechnology is expected to transform a range of industries in the coming decades.  Following a brief introduction to Agilent Technologies and Agilent Laboratories, the company’s longer-range central R&D organization, Darlene Solomon will discuss opportunities emerging from the convergence of bio-analytical and electronic measurement at the nanoscale.  She will provide examples of how breakthrough nanotechnologies are changing the game for customers in diverse industries.
