The inventors have discovered a new use for the compound Iv-IgG. When administered topically, this drug is effective in the treatment of Epidemic Keratoconjunctivis (EKC). Used opthalmically, these preparations have demonstrated the elimination of the infection, reduction of viral shedding and a decreased transmission of the virus.
