Incom’s Life Sciences Group offers high density Fiber Optic Interrogated Microwell Biochips and Microcapillary Plates.

FOI Microwell Biochips and Microcapillary Plates provide an analysis platform that can be used for a wide variety of sensitive chemical, genomic and proteomic sensor applications.

FOI microwell plates are produced by fusing multiple optical fibers together to form a fiber optic array. Selective removal of core material leaves wells that serve as massively parallel, minute “test tubes.” Well bottoms consist of high NA optical fibers that can be coupled to a high resolution digital detector, to optically interrogate reactions occurring in the wells.

Microcapillary Plates are produced in a similar fashion, by fusing multiple hollow tubes together to form an all glass through-hole micro-pore plate.

Incom also provides fiber optic faceplates and tapers for imaging and image coupling applications.
