Hybrid materials made up of an inorganic porous material filled with a room temperature ionic liquid (IL) represent a novel class of materials with promising applications. The structure and dynamics of IL confined in amorphous silica and chalcogenide pores with different pore sizes are investigated by means of molecular simulation. This work sheds light on the complex behavior of hybrid materials made up of ionic liquid confined in inorganic porous materials.
