Abstract:
Nanocrystalline LiCoO2 particles were successfully synthesized using acryl amide assisted polymeric citrate process.The formation of phase pure LiCoO2 was confirmed from XRD results. FTIR results confirmed the formation LiCoO2 structure. SEM results showed the formation of agglomerated spherical nanoparticles with uniform distribution. The impedance measurements showed good electrical properties for the synthesized LiCoO2 nanoparticles. The reduced particle size and good electrical properties enhance the performance of LiCoO2 as a cathode material in Li ion batteries.
