| Abstract: | This paper describes an innovative way to synthesize polypyrrole using self-assembly nano-templates poly (isobutylene-alt-maleic anhydride) (IMA) or poly (styrene-alt-maleic anhydride) (SMA). Understanding the details of the novel synthesis in great details would provide us profound knowledge when applying it in reality. The theoretical characterization of the synthesis and the number steps involved showed the essential role of water in this confined polymer template for the activation as well as polymerization of pyrrole. This study is expected to have an important impact on a novel environmental friendly synthesis of conducting polymers. |
