A new patented process for massive production of single wall carbon nanohorn (SWCNH) is presented. Without any catalyst, the prototipe plant is able to produce 100 g/h of high purity carbon nanohorns. The direct vaporization of graphite in the controlled atmosphere of the reactor is reached by induction heating of graphite rods. The characterization of SWCNH produced was performed by thermogravimetric analyses (TGA) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM).
