| Abstract: | 99mTc(V)DMSA (Dimercaptosuccinic acid) is a well-known radiopharmaceutical for imaging neurogenic tumors. 188Rhenium, a beta radiation emitter with 2.2 MeV energy having half life of 16.9 hours is a therapeutic analogue of imagable 99mTechnetium was introduced for targeted therapy.188Re(V)DMSA encapsulated PLGA microspheres were prepared, using 10% of PVA concentration, by double emulsion solvent evaporation technique. Microspheres of 0.2-2.0 micron were prepared. Re-188(V)DMSA-PLGA microspheres were incubated with cultured Glioma cells (U87MG) for the assessment of in-vitro cell survival. |
