We have developed a novel surface enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) detection method that is amenable for almost any biological target. By utilising the information rich spectrum obtained from SERRS we show that we can simultaneously screen multiple analytes with efficient discrimination between targets. The method has been applied to a number of proteomic targets in several assay formats. We have used ultra-fast Raman line mapping which allows us to rapidly screen large areas with high selectivity.
