| Abstract: | Various nanoproducts including nanoparticles, nanorods, and nanowires have been prepared by a modified plasma arc gas condensation technique. By changing some parameters during the experiment, different kinds of products could be obtained. The results reveal that the nanoparticle size and production rate of stoichiometric tungsten oxide (WO3) and titanium oxide (TiO2) nanoparticles were proportional to chamber pressures ranged from 4.9 to 101.3 kPa. The particle size distribution, however, couldn’t grow with the increasing chamber pressures due to the effect of blown gases. Non-stoichiometric W19O55 nanoparticles and W5O14 nanorods were also obtained by the reduction of WO3 phase under argon (Ar)/hydrogen (H2) atmospheres. All of the samples were identified by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD). In addition, the effects of the parameters on the samples were also discussed in this research. |
