Abstract:
an approximate explicit solution for a normalized diode has been developed in this paper. The accuracy of the diode current calculation and its derivative prediction has also been verified compared with the result of the iterative method. Compared with the previous others, this new approximate solution requires no numerical iteration but more accurate and computation efficient, thus it is more suitable to implement into the circuit simulators for engineering application and design.
