Abstract:Large scale syntheses of ordered colloidal silver nanoparticles have been achieved through solution phase method. These colloidal nanoparticles have been spin-coated on glass substrates and investigated using AFM and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Nearly cubic shape silver nanoparticles of size around 150 nm have been observed with particle density ~ 1109 cm-2. The results of superhydrophobicity and anti-icing properties of F-DLC coating on these nanostructured silver films will be discussed.
