| Abstract: | We report the optimization of exchange spring coupling of FePt/Fe3Pt nanocomposites via independently tuning their size and composition by a micro-emulsion method. These nanocomposites are deliberately placed in each silica nano-spheres such that the problem of their sintering is substantially reduced by the presence of silica overlayers during annealing of the mixture. As a result, size tailoring of FePt/Fe3Pt in their L10/L12 phases respectively, can be, for the first time, demonstrated. |
