The Young's modulus of each model was found to be practically independent of the solid Poisson's ratio. The results are in good agreement with experimental data. We provide simple formulae that can be used to predict the elastic properties of porous media, and allow the accurate interpretation of empirical data in terms of pore shape and structure. | | View paper | | ISBN: | 0-9666135-7-0 |
