"The Clean Technology & Sustainable Industry Organization is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Marburger to our distinguished speaker roster for the CSI Cleantech Summit,” said Patti Glaza, Executive Director of CTSI. “We’re excited to have the top advisor to the White House on science and technology as our keynote speaker. The Summit is the first step in the effort to launch the National Clean & Sustainable Technology Initiative (NCTI).”

Attendees and presenters at the CSI Summit will participate with CTSI to establish the framework for a federally funded R&D program to coordinate multi-agency efforts in science, engineering, and technology related to clean technology and sustainable business innovation.

CSI Summit will bring together leading business & technology executives and government officials to present the state-of-art in sustainable industry practices and review clean technology development.

“This is an event where companies, NGOs and government agencies will be presenting their clean technology achievements and working together to find solutions to critical development challenges. Before his appointment in the Executive Office of the President, Dr. Marburger attended Princeton University (B.A., Physics) and Stanford University (Ph.D. Applied Physics). He also served as Director of Brookhaven National Laboratory from 1998, and as the third President of the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He went to Long Island in 1980 from the University of Southern California where he had been a Professor of Physics and Electrical Engineering, serving as Physics Department Chairman and Dean of the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences in the 1970's.
