    Taylor Hobson is a UK-based manufacturer of high precision surface
finish metrology instruments. Its Talysurf CCI is a newly developed
non-contact optical metrology tool that combines Coherence Correlation
Interferometry with a high resolution digital camera array to scan
through surface fringes in the Z direction. Information collected is
processed into a quantitative three dimensional (3D) representation of
the surface.
    This method provides both high resolution and sensitivity to
returning light. Virtually all surfaces having reflectivity between
0.3% and 100% can be measured. Additional advantages include
extraordinary sub-angstrom (0.1A) vertical resolution, virtually nil
system noise, step height repeatability of 0.1nm and surface RMS
repeatability of 0.03A.
