TechConnect World launches the TechConnect National Innovation Showcase June 20-21, 2012, Santa Clara Convention Center
More than 300 technologies will be on display in Silicon Valley
TechConnect World launches the TechConnect National Innovation Showcase, delivering a snapshot of top national and global commercially viable emerging technologies as selected by our committees of corporate and investment partners. This National Innovation Showcase provides a pipeline to accelerate the commercialization of technologies emerging from federally and privately funded programs from around the world. Over 50 investment and corporate partners participated in the vetting of over 300 seed to early-stage technologies that will be presenting or showcasing at the TechConnect World, June 19-21 in Santa Clara.
"Our goal is to provide a single annual marketplace for top federally supported innovations to be connected with leading corporations and investment firms," said Matthew Laudon, CEO of TechConnect. "Our industry and investment partners pick the winning technologies from our research institutions. Through the event, we provide a matchmaking pipeline for those innovations to accelerate commercialization with our corporate partners in Energy, Materials, Health, Electronics, Defense, Transportation and Manufacturing." In alignment with the White House directive to help accelerate commercialization of innovation, we will be moving the entire event to Washington DC in 2013 in order to more easily partner with all of the federal agency commercialization programs."
In addition, the 2012 TechConnect National Innovation Showcase will be hosting the Cleantech Open Showcase of their semifinalists and alumni. Join over 100 of the nation's top clean energy early-stage companies showcase for investment and partnership opportunities.
