Irish Nanotech Research Institute Introduces ‘Nano in My Life’ Package to High Schools
Nov 18, 2011
Package is designed to excite young people about nanoscience and its applications, and to consider a career in science.
The ‘Nano in My Life’ package was developed by the Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices (CRANN) at Trinity College-Dublin. The program includes seven modules, including video captured at CRANN, and the package is designed to engage students in discussion about nanotechnology and promote subjects such as physics and chemistry. CRANN notes in the release that Ireland is ranked 6th in the world for nanotechnology research, and nearly 10% of Irish exports are enabled by nanotechnology. Ireland schools that would like to apply for the package can contact: nanoinmylife@tcd.ie.
