TIA seeks novel inventions in science and technology for commercialization opportunities

The TIA mandate is to stimulate technology-focused innovation to boost South Africa’s economic growth. The Technology Innovation Agency is starting with more than $58M US in funding. According to the government, the TIA will focus funding on projects and research related to health, manufacturing, agriculture, industrial biotechnology, mining, and IT sectors.
