5,000+ Acre Innovation Park to be Built in Mumbai
Innovation complex would be home to R&D efforts in several technology areas, including nanotechnology, cleantechnology, fuel cells, and biotechnology.
In addition to an R&D center for companies and their technology focus areas, the ambitious Innovation Park will also have a convention center, international research center, business incubator, design institute and learning center. Mumbai state officials noted the Innovation Park will employ more than 25,000 scientists from 100 countries, making it a global center for R&D activities. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) will receive technical support from the Science & Technology Park-University of Pune, and Sophia Antipolis, France, will be one of the project partners.
