Ireland Announces Multi-Million Research Funding Plan

More than $47 million USD to go to country’s university research centers
The Government of Ireland is making the large research investment to increase job creation and invest in what it calls the “smart economy.” The €37 million research investment will be distributed over the next six years to research centers focused on six technology areas and position them for commercialization—the list includes bioenergy, composite materials, nanotechnology, and microelectronics.
