Shell Global Solutions Launches CENTERAâ„¢ for Cleaner Fuel Development in China

CENTERAâ„¢ is nano-based third generation catalysts, which are currently being deployed at refineries in North and South America, as well as Europe.

CENTERA™ can be used for Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel production (10 parts per million sulphur). Shell Global Solutions’ portfolio of de-sulphurization products is being implemented in Beijing, and the company believes the catalysts will help China meet its goal for cleaner fuels with greater production efficiency. Shell notes that performance improvements in volumetric activity of up to 50% can be achieved with this new technology.
