Federal Government Seeks Input on 2010 Strategic Plan for the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI)

Proposed budget for the NNI for FY2011 is close to $2 Billion

The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) released a Request for Information that focuses on soliciting ideas on how to build out the 2010 strategic plan for the NNI.

Agencies participating in the NNI are working collectively toward the four goals identified in the 2007 NNI Strategic Plan, and all responses to the RFI should focus on one or more of these areas:

- Advance a world-class nanotechnology research and development program. - Foster the transfer of new technologies into products for commercial and public benefit. - Develop and sustain educational resources, a skilled workforce, and the supporting infrastructure and tools to advance nanotechnology. - Support responsible development of nanotechnology.

Submit your ideas and responses to the OSTP to by 11:59 p.m., August 15, 2010.
