Microsoft and Nokia to Invest $23+ US Million in New Mobile Application Development Program in Finland

Finland’s Aalto University will house the AppCampus Program for the two technology giants. Grant applications open this May.

The AppCampus Program was established to create innovative mobile apps for the Windows Phone and Nokia platforms to create the next generation of self-sustaining mobile startups. The AppCampus will open in May 2012, and is expected to attract thousands of student and entrepreneur proposals from all over the world. The Program will provide mentoring from veterans in the mobile industry, providing participants insights and business coaching to help idea commercialization while retaining full intellectual property rights for each individual’s innovations.
