The Connecticut Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA) today announced it has launched a competitive, solar photovoltaic (PV) solicitation under the On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation (OSDG) Program Best of Class, Public Buildings and Affordable Housing Request for Proposals (RFP).

The competitive, PV-only solicitation offers financial support, in the form of grants, to buy down the cost of installing new PV renewable energy generating equipment at commercial, industrial and institutional facilities in Connecticut. Solar photovoltaic is the only technology eligible under the competitive solicitation.

Eligible applicants include for-profit companies, not-for-profit companies, municipalities, state and federal government agencies, religious organizations, school districts, condominium associations and affordable housing companies.

Prospective applicants will have the opportunity to attend an information session about the program and the current RFP on October 5, 2011. The location has yet to be determined, and will be posted on CEFIA’s website at www.ctcleanenergy.com/BestofClass.
