Sol Voltaics Receives $2M US+ from Swedish Venture Capital Firm

Sol Voltaics was formed in 2008 based on nanotechnology research from Lund University
Swedish V/C firm Industrifonden is a leader in cleantech investments. Sol Voltaics is developing a new material and production method to manufacture solar cells. The company has developed a method to fabricate a novel material composed of nanowire in which every wire functions as a solar cell. Sol Voltaics has found a way to create this material at lower costs, a current barrier to widespread adoption by the solar industry.
