National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) Seeks Public Opinion on Its Strategic Plan

White House has posted draft of Strategic Plan for the NNI online; deadline for comments is November 30

The public is welcome to submit comments on the draft plan, but the comments are limited to one page or less (approximately 4,000 words). The NNI Strategic Plan is a framework that outlines the nanotechnology efforts of 25 NNI member federal agencies, which includes the DoD, NASA, NIST, and the USPTO. The NNI works on the advancement of nanotechnology R&D and their applications to agency missions and areas of national interest. The proposed budget for the NNI for 2011 is close to $1.8B US.
