Analog Bridge poses the following value proposition: Imagine a "smart,” all purpose, inter-connective device, the size of your watch that replaces your cell phone, PDA, MP3, wallet, house & cars keys. The company believes they have created an enabling technology to support such a device. Analog Bridge’s patented technology is a ferroelectric varactor -a nano-scale integrated circuit device-capable of being structured into a wide variety of switches, filters, amplifiers, and capacitors that exceed all capabilities of current state of the art MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) devices by 100x to 1000x while greatly reducing costs.

According to the company, its technology can be seamlessly integrated into at least four distinct analog cell phone components; decreasing component costs, dramatically improving capability, reducing weight and component size by 90%, decreasing power consumption, and improving reliability. The company has already seen strong interest from several companies, including Nokia.

David Novak, Chief Commercialization Officer, tells Nano World News that the company was recently awarded a $175K grant from the State of Ohio’s Third Frontier Program, which helps to bring sensor technologies to the marketplace. The company has also positioned itself to receive up to $1M in additional future funding from the Program.

Analog Bridge has a strong commitment to bolstering high-tech growth in their region and for the state of Ohio; Novak estimates the latest round of funding will create more than 100 jobs, with an average salary of $70K.
