Nanopoint, Inc.
Nanopoint, Inc. is a privately-held nano-biotechnology company that is revolutionizing the study & treatment of diseases with its live cell imaging solutions. Nanopointâs products have broad applications to life science research, drug discovery, and biopharmaceutical production as well as other areas where live cell analysis is important. The company recently closed a Series B round of financing; their lead investor was Global Venture Capital.
In 2006, Nanopoint introduced the worldâs first live cell microarray called cellTRAYâ˘; a microscope slide sized device with thousands of etched wells and fluidic channels to contain small groups of cells for culturing, imaging and analysis.
Cathy Owen, President of Nanopoint, told NWN of two exciting developments related to the cellTRAY, just announced this week:
- The cellTRAY dish is now commercially available on their website. She reports they previewed the product at The American Society of Cell Biology to ârave reviews from the cell biologists that had the chance to give it a try.â
- The cellTRAY Fluidics System is currently being tested by researchers at University of Hawaii, Northeastern University and The University of Toronto, the company is in the process of adding more beta customers.
Nanopoint is also pleased to announce its new Nanopoint Partnership Program, which makes it easy for distributors, value added resellers, and technical collaboration partners to work with Nanopointâs products. Current charter members include Labcyte Inc., Aurora Photonics, Quantum Design-Japan, and Quantum Design-China. They expect more partners to join in the near future.
