Wales Wants In On Nanotechnology
Wales recently announced the construction plans for the nanotechnology printing facility after a multi-million grant was approved from the Convergence European Regional Development Fund. The new Centre for NanoHealth will be housed at Swansea University (which is providing funding, along with industry partners), and will include the already-established Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating. Officials believe the Centre is the first state-of-the-art 'nanohealth' facility of its kind in Europe. The Centre for NanoHealth will create more than 400 jobs for Wales, include business incubation space, as well as and nanotech and bio-medical R&D facilities.
