Canada-Brazil Framework Agreement Focuses on Science, Technology, and Innovation
Canada’s Minister of International Trade and Brazil’s Minister of Science and Technology executed the agreement between the two countries. The bilateral R&D will focus on several technology areas, including nanotechnology, biotechnology, and information and communications technology. For the first two years, Canada will contribute more than $1M to the agreement. Canada has identified Brazil as a priority market, and look to this agreement as a way to strengthen research and scientific efforts between the two countries.
