PPG Completes Acquisition of Nanotech Company
Publicly-traded company PPG Industries has acquired NanoProducts Corporation, a producer of nanomaterials and developer of nanoproduct technology. PPG’s recent acquisition shows the commitment the company has to nanotechnology and nanoengineered materials. NanoProducts has a deep patent portfolio and also leads the operations of facilities for the development and manufacturing of nanoparticles. PPG operates in more than 60 countries and had 2007 sales exceeding $11 billion.
