Micron Foundation Pledges More than $1 Million to University of Utah’s for USTAR Building

The University of Utah today received a $1.25 million pledge from the Micron Technology Foundation to develop nanofabrication teaching, and create a research laboratory as a facility within the Utah Science, Technology and Research (USTAR) building, which is currently under construction. Over the past ten years, the University of Utah has received more than $2 million in grants from Micron. The laboratory will be open to university researchers, other Utah universities, and companies. The University of Utah is positioning USTAR to support and represent first-rate nanotechnology, electronics, and semiconductor research.
