World Economic Forum Identifies 5 Nanotech Companies as “Technology Pioneers” for 2008

The World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, recently announced its list of “Technology Pioneers” for 2008, and five nanotechnology companies made the list. They include: Cima (Energy/Environment), Hycrete (Energy/Environment), Nanostellar (Energy/Environment), SiGNa (Biotech/Health), and Unidym (Energy/Environment). According to the WEF, “To be selected as a Technology Pioneer, a company must be involved in the development of life-changing technology innovation and have potential for long-term impact on business and society. In addition, it must demonstrate visionary leadership, show the signs of being a long-standing market leader – and its technology must be proven.” The WEF has been identifying its list of “Technology Pioneers” since 2003.
