Russia Announces Multi-Billion Dollar Nanotechnology Research Funding Plan
Over the next eight years, the Russian government plans to allocate more than $7 Billion US towards nanotechnology research and development. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin alluded to the importance of giving nanotechnology research priority funding in his state of the nation address back in April 2007. Industrial areas that Russia will focus on include space research, medicine, energy, and telecommunications.
