Akzo Nobel Develops First Nano Façade Coatings Based on BASF Technology
This month, Akzo Nobel introduced a professional outside coating based on BASF’s novel nanobinder technology. The two companies have been collaborators for several years. Herbol-Symbiotec, based on BASF’s nanobinder COL.9, keeps homes looking newly-painted longer. Herbol-Symbiotech retains color longer, does not absorb as much dirt as conventional coatings, and also protects a home against fungal growth, just a few of the benefits this coating has achieved using nanoscale technology.
