GE Announces New Findings In Its Nanotech Research
Scientists at GE have discovered that the wing scales of butterflies appear to have finely tuned chemical sensor properties. The research group believes that replicating what is found in the wing scales could be developed into highly sophisticated chemical sensors that are able to detect vapors. GE researchers believe that commercial applications for this discovery could be possible within five years.
