Nokia Partners With European University For Nanotech Research Center
Nokia has entered into a joint venture with Cambridge University that will focus on nanotechnology projects. Analysts believe Nokia will invest more than $70 million US into the agreement, which will include a nanotechnology research center in Cambridge. In addition to working with the university, it plans to seek out other local area companies for potential partnerships, as well as create spin-outs from its Center in the United Kingdom. The mobile phone giant is building two similar centers in the U.S., focused on integrating nanoscale technologies into its next generation mobile devices.
