New Research Findings on Absorption of Nanoparticles From Rice University and North Carolina State University
Researchers from Rice and North Carolina State (NCSU) have discovered that repetitive movement can accelerate the uptake of nanoparticles through the skin. They discovered that the more skin they flexed, the more it would absorb the buckyballs, and they penetrated more deeply than without movement. The toxicologists used in vitro experiments involving pigskin exposed to buckyball-containing amino acids.
