U.S. Science and Technology Council Addresses Nano Environmental, Health, Safety Research Needs
The Nanoscale Science, Engineering, and Technology (NSET) Subcommittee of the National Science and Technology Council's Committee on Technology released a document this week identifying environmental, health, and safety research and information needs related to the understanding and management of potential risks of engineered nanomaterials. The document will be used by Federal agencies participating in the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) as a guide for research programs. The report is also targeted to industry, universities, and other research organizations seeking additional information with regards to risk assessment of nanoscale materials. It is available at www.nano.gov.
