Nikon and Synopsys to Develop Advanced Litho Models and Manufacturing
The agreement between Synopsys Inc. and Nikon will focus on advanced DFM solutions for 45nm and below. Nikon has noted that this is the first time it has allowed access to its lithography systems to a software vendor. The agreement between the two companies is also a groundbreaking venture for industry—it provides a closer link between design and manufacturing, which the two companies believe will provide more rapid benefits for companies working at the 45-nm and 32nm node.
