US Researchers Find a Way to Create Nanofibers In Orderly Fashion
Researchers at the University of California-Berkeley have discovered a way to use the electric-field process in the creation of nanofibers in a constant, straight, and controllable manner. The new technique is called near-field electrospinning, and this latest breakthrough could produce out of nanofibers novel specialized materials. In the near term, the researchers believe that for device applications, these materials could be used for biological measurements, and for materials, they could create non-woven fabrics with organized patterns.
