Registration Now Open for Nanotech 2007. Venture and Abstract Submissions Being Accepted

Nanotech 2007 will welcome more than 4,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors from around the world. Poster and venture submissions for conference consideration are being accepted.

This week, the Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI) officially opened online registration for its 10th annual Nanotech 2007 Conference and Trade Show. The conference is taking place in Santa Clara, California at the Santa Clara Convention Center May 20-24, 2007. Nanotech 2007 is one of the largest global gatherings of the scientific, business, and investment community working on the development and commercialization of nano and small-scale technology.

Nano and Microelectronics Enhance Imaging Technology

Photoacoustic Imaging can rapidly produce three-dimensional images for diagnosis of diseases such as atherosclerosis and cancer. Stanford’s Professor Butrus Pierre Khuri-Yakub and other researchers are developing innovations to deliver Photoacoustic imaging’s (PAI) full potential as a sensitive and safe multipurpose imaging tool.

Top Researchers, Drugmakers, and Regulators Convene at CancerNano 2007

Execs Look to Speed Access to New Nano-Based Imaging and Therapeutic Modalities.

The world’s top cancer researchers, clinicians, drugmakers and regulators will gather at a special symposium during Nanotech 2007 to explore how to speed up ways to move the most promising cancer-fighting nanotechnology research into clinical trials.

Nanotechnology Aiding In Determining Gene Expression

An interdisciplinary team of researchers at UCLA’s California Nanosystems Institute (CNSI), New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, and Veeco Instruments, a leading nanotechnology tool company have developed new nanotechnology that can examine single molecules in order to determine gene expression.

NSTI Adds CleanTech 2007 to Nanotech Event to California May 20-24. California Governor Schwarzenegger’s Budget Highlights Nano, Cleantech Convergence

Nano Science and Technology Institute will launch Cleantech 2007, a multi-disciplinary and multi-sector conference on global sustainability and clean technologies, as part of the upcoming Nanotech 2007 Conference and Expo, May 20-24, 2007, in Santa Clara, California.

NSTI invites speakers from a wide range of clean technology sciences and commercial productization sectors to submit proposals to speak at CleanTech 2007.

Grant goes to UNT Professor to Study and Develop Nanotailored Multifunctional Materials

Dr. Nandika D'Souza, an associate professor of materials science and engineering at the University of North Texas (UNT) has received a more than half a million dollar federal grant to study and deploy nanotailored multifunctional materials. These are substances that have multiple characteristics thanks to nanotechnology, which involves the combination of materials science, engineering, chemistry, biology and physics to explore matter at the atomic and molecular levels.

Business Wire and Virtual Press Office Support Nanotech Exhibitors with Free Profile

Business Wire and Virtual Press Office are the official news release distribution services for all NSTI and TechConnect events. They’ll be providing media, analysts and the financial community worldwide with 24/7 access to event news releases, multimedia and online media kits. This is facilitated through our exhibitor news archives which are located within the “press/media” areas of the official show websites.

NSTI to Help BusinessWeek

NSTI and the BusinessWeek Special Section Group will partner in nanotechnology commercialization program for purposes of broadening the base of vendors and industry participation in a special section on Nanotechnology scheduled for the March 26, 2007 issue of BusinessWeek.
